We have literally been chasing our tails between gigs, recording and promoting, however, it has all been so much fun and we're feeling a lot more streamlined now; it's all coming together! We are so excited for what the future holds. We recently attended Southern Fried Festival in Perth; we performed to a packed theatre full of americana and roots music lovers so our music was definitely well placed on the day. Not only that, we gave our pals Mad Ferret a buzz and managed to feature at their famous Sunday Social at The Venue; we have been trying to get to this event for around two years and finally, the time was right! It was a brilliant afternoon and it was ace to hear local musicians do their thing too; we urge you to visit this open mic event at least once in your life.
The rest of the time has been spent recording our new album, updating our Pledgemusic supporters and looking forward to the performances we have coming up over the next couple of months; there are some wonderful things to look forward to for sure! We are performing at a wedding very soon; the strange thing about it is the couple found us performing in Manchester, they live in Monifieth where our friends at The Wee Cook Kitchen are, they know another couple whose lovely wedding we performed at and have actually asked for the same song for their walk down the aisle! What are the odds! To add a bit of rock and roll to the day, we decided to accept an invitation to headline a festival that evening; its definitely going to be an eventful day. The wedding venue is called Craigsanquhar House and is situated right outside Cupar in Fife; look at the photo below . . . it's a belter! Check out the website as the house has a lot to offer including a rather fantastic restaurant and luxury villas!
We are approaching the end of the first phase of recording our new album and are beginning to send some of the songs to the musicians we have in mind for our project; the songs are starting to take shape in our heads now and it is really exciting to take the next steps to making them a reality. We are really enjoying working with David Macfarlane at Clearwater Studios; the man is an absolute wizard on a mixing desk! The fun part is being able to show our supporters the new material that is going on there and giving them an insight into the journey of the songs as it happens. If you would like to receive updates about and be a part of the making of this album you can make a pledge here; you will be able to access all previous updates that include audio, video and picture material that is only being made exclusively available to those who support our project. In joining our community of pledgers you would also be helping to raise funds for the Scottish Society for Mental Health.

Before we go, we would like to share three things from the past month of our lives that we have found to be useful; you might also be able to find value in them in some way! DRYGATE BREWERY. It could literally be the best Scottish brewery . . . if you like beer. HANDI RESTAURANT. The most authentic Indian cuisine we have ever tasted. THE GROUND UP SHOW. A great YouTube channel for creatives and entrepreneurs.
